My first real attempt at portraiture. This is also my first submission to deviantART. This portrait of Boris Karloff was done with 2b and 4b graphite pencils on general purpose drawing paper. The greeen tint was added as with Adobe Photoshop.

Exellent work! Boris Karloff as Frankenstien's monster was probably one of the greatest creature ever on a movie screen. It's one of my favorite make-ups of all time. You capture his character perfectly in the facial expression. Great portriat and welcome to DA

Thanks! I had considered posting the original, un-greened version but decided I wanted to show the green instead. Much obliged for the fav too!

Thanks! I think a little of the tint to a grayscale piece gives it a lot of life.

grand work! is it from "Bride Of Frankenstein" or the original?

If you think that I am a danger to myself, just think what I can do to you.
Thank you! It is from Bride specifically. If you look at the makeup designs from Frankenstein and then Bride of Frankenstein, you'll notice a couple of things. One, effects of being burned at the end of the first movie are apparent - lots of the monster's hair is burned off, and there is some subtle scarring and blistering on his face (not so obvious in my drawing). Two, he has two visible clamps holding down the top of his head. In Frankenstein, he only had one clamp.

Much obliged for the fav!
