Eltsa here is a creation of mine and this is her first appearance. She's smart and sexy (obviously) and will serve as a strong female character amongst a mostly male group of monsters and misfits.

Why should men get to play with all the lightning and chemicals? It's time for a lady to step up to the lab.

A colored version of this will follow at some point down the line.

I appreciate open critique, so anything anyone has to say will be most appreciated.

Awsome... I love the whole 'mad scientist' look, I've always loved art like this but I esspecially like how you've made the character a woman instead of the typical 'crazy guy.'
Thanks! I've always thought there is nothing sexier than a smart woman! Except maybe a smart, naked woman... ;)

Nice work, the world needs more female mad scientists. I have insane nurse character though.
You did an excellent job on the lineart here.

Initially, Eltsa was going to be more of a second-level assistant, but the more I thought about it, making her a full-fledged mad scientist in her own right only seemed appropriate. With looks like that, why shouldn't she have a mind just as smokin'?

I just got one less than four months ago, and it makes the biggest difference. However, I'm also left handed, so coloring with the mouse for years was a chore and made me dread coloring anything. If you get a tablet, go to Wacom.com, and look through their refurbished ones. You can get a 4x6 one like mine for a little over $100 and it comes fully packaged with 3 art programs.
